Clinging on to the disappearing sun

Jacket and skirt - Zara
Top - Topshop
Shoes - River Island

I re-discovered this ootd from when the weather was a bit warmer and as it's currently pouring down torrential rain, I thought I'd share this with you in an effort to brighten things up a bit. I also kind of wish I was this tanned again and not the ghostly colour that I currently am. None of these clothes are particularly new and have mostly been purchased over summer, but I am still particularly loving this skirt now it's chillier and so don't be surprised if it's featured in a lot of posts this season.

Life has been quite monotonous as of late, and so I decided to meet my friend to cheer up and have a laugh. I find friends are the one thing that will not fail to make you happy and just reaching out to a friend when you're feeling a little low is one of the best things you can do.

After a catch up and some gentle browsing of the new re-opened Zara store in Liverpool One (I nearly died from how wonderfully perfect it is) we ended up going to a restaurant called Brown's - if you live in Liverpool they are currently doing 2 courses for £10 before 6pm on weekdays and it's definitely worth the trip. I had fish, chips and peas which was really delicious, and my friend had sausage and mash which also looked amazing and I think I will have to revisit soon just to try that. We both decided on apple pie and vanilla custard for dessert and just look...

Does this not look delicious? And how cute that the custard came in a gravy boat? I know, I'm easily amused.
