And there's gold falling from the ceiling of this world, falling from the heartbeat of this girl

(Angus & Julia Stone - And The Boys)

Yesterday I went to Selfridges on Oxford Street to drool over the millions of nail varnishes in store, and the MAC counter, of course. While I was there I bought a new MAC Prep & Prime transparent finishing powder, because my old one was running out, and I treated myself to a new satin lipstick in the shade Pink Nouveau.

I also bought the Ciate Caviar Manicure set in white, which I am completely in love with.

This is obviously my first application as I bought the kit yesterday, so I only did two nails on each hand just to experiment. I absolutely love the look, and am planning on experimenting more with the beads - I really want to try doing beaded tips! However, even though it looks good, I doubt it would last more than two days as I already have had a few beads fall off over night. I'll keep you updated with how they last, but so far they still look great. I am planning to shower soon though, and I dread to think what the outcome of that will be.

Also, while I was in the store, I thought I'd go to have a look at the new Children in Need designer Pudsey bears, as they launched that morning. For those who are living under a rock, basically, a bunch of top designers including Henry Holland, Tom Ford, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Louis Vuitton and loads more, have collaborated with BBC Children in Need, to create their own version of the iconic Pudsey the bear. These bears are on show at Selfridges Oxford Street, until 14th November, and then they will be auctioned off for charity. I think it's an amazing idea, and these bears are stunning. My favourites included Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, and Burberry.

Then of course, after a lovely trip to Selfridges, I went to Carluccio's for dinner, and then cocktails in this well hidden little bar just off Regent's Street. All in all, a great day.
